On April 26th, the World of Coca-Cola invited fans on Facebook and Twitter to register to participate in a dance mob event slated to happen inside the World of Coca-Cola on Saturday, May 7th. The dance mob was designed to coincide with The Coca-Cola Company's larger 125th Anniversary celebration concert.
Registration was kicked off with a special video invitation featuring One Night Only encouraging fans to sign up. A total of 125 consumers were selected and about 80 showed up to participate in the first-time-ever gathering. The selected fans were emailed the dance mob routine instructional video the week of the event in preparation for the one and only dance rehearsal just a few hours before the actual dance mob took place.
At 11am the doors of the Happiness Factory Theater opened and guests moved freely throughout the Hub viewing exhibits, taking pictures with our new Happiness Factory character, Wendy and getting ready to embark on their self-guided tour through the World of Coca-Cola.
All of a sudden, the song Can You Feel It by the band One Night Only permeated through the speakers inside the Hub. Celebrity choreographer, Kiki Ely danced her way down the Hub staircase kicking off the dance mob to the surprise and delight of guests. The dance mob started with only a handful of dancers and quickly grew as the selected fans began to join in and create unexpected moments of happiness!
